Wonder
Wonder begins with paying attention, and paying attention is something we rarely make time for. Art gives us an excuse to slow down, notice the details we often rush past, and become curious about the world around us. I've found that curiosity has a way of growing into wonder, and wonder, when we stay with it long enough, becomes awe.
To me, awe is an appreciation for the beauty of creation and the realization that we are part of something much bigger than ourselves. Those moments have the power to change the way we move through the world. They encourage gratitude instead of consumption, presence instead of distraction, and care instead of indifference. Through my work, I hope to create opportunities for people to experience that shift, leaving a little more attentive to the beauty that has been there all along.
